In Thursday's league match, the host Roosevelt Mustangs softball team scored a tight 7-1 win over the Santiago Sharks.

The Mustangs (15-8) will now prepare for their match against Centennial (Corona, CA). The Huskies come into the Big VIII match with a 10-10 record. In their last match, Centennial was routed by Norco (Norco, CA), 16-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Sharks battle the Corona Panthers (Corona, CA) in a Big VIII match, on Tuesday, April 29. Santiago will attempt to better on its 8-14 season record.
