The High Tech CV Bruins baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Cobras to 0 in the Bruins league victory on Thursday.

The Bruins (8-10) will now prepare for their match against Mountain Empire (Pine Valley, CA). The Redhawks go into the Summit match with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Mountain Empire beat Liberty Charter (Alpine, CA), 6-5, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Chula Vista Learning Community Charter falls to 1-9 on the season. The Cobras host Ocean View Christian (San Diego, CA) to encounter the Patriots in a Summit challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Ocean View Christian lost 14-2 in their recent league challenge against Liberty Charter (Alpine, CA)
