Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Fighting Hornets now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Monticello for a Jefferson challenge on Friday, April 26. Orange County will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Albemarle falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Patriots host Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to face the Flying Flucos in a Jefferson challenge on Friday, April 26. The Flying Flucos enter the challenge with a record of 4-8. Fluvanna County won 21-3 in their recent league challenge against Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA)
