Rhode Island High School Baseball - Ponaganset nips Central

The Ponaganset Chieftains baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Central Knights to 8 in the Chieftains league win on Friday.

The Chieftains now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they host North Providence for a non-league test on Monday, April 28. Ponaganset will play a Cougars team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Cougars record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, Central drops to 6-4 on the year. The Knights travel to North Providence (North Providence, RI) to play the Cougars in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 29. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 7-1.
