North Carolina High School Baseball - Laney sneaks past New Hanover

In Friday's league game, the host Laney Buccaneers baseball team scored a close 5-4 victory over the New Hanover Wildcats.
The Buccaneers (17-4) will now prepare for their game against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions enter the Mideastern 3A/4A game with a 7-14 record. In their last game, North Brunswick was tipped by Richmond (Rockingham, NC), 4-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Wildcats face the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A game, on Tuesday, April 29. New Hanover will attempt to improve on its 12-9 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 8-12 record after their 15-1 non-league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC).
