Lancaster Bruins (Lancaster, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC), 17-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host Catawba Ridge for a AAAA Region 3 challenge on Thursday, April 28. Lancaster will battle a Copperheads squad coming off a 17-5 non-league loss to James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC). The Copperheads record now stands at 18-3.

With the loss, Chester falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Cyclones host Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC) to battle the Volunteers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Volunteers enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. Andrew Jackson lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Cheraw (Cheraw, SC)
