California High School Softball - Berkeley can't hold off Piedmont

The Berkeley Yellowjackets softball squad (Berkeley, CA), was edged 16-15 in Wednesday's league bout with the host Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA)

The Highlanders (4-9) will now prepare for their bout against Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA). The Trojans go into the West Alameda County - Foothill bout with a 10-6 record. In their last bout, Castro Valley was edged by Alameda (Alameda, CA), 4-1, in a league bout.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop O'Dowd for a West Alameda County - Foothill bout on Friday, April 28. Berkeley will confront a Dragons squad coming off a 19-9 league win over Arroyo (San Lorenzo, CA). The Dragons record now stands at 10-9.
