In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME), by a margin of 17-12.

With the triumph, Penquis Valley moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Patriots host Piscataquis (Guilford, ME) to play the Pirates in a Class C North contest on Friday, April 28. The Pirates come into the contest with a record of 0-3. Piscataquis lost 8-7 in their recent non-league contest against Greenville (Greenville, ME)

In their next game, the Minutemen play the Schenck Wolverines (East Millinocket, ME) in a Class D North contest, on Friday, April 28. Stearns will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
