The Archbishop Williams Bishops got by the visiting Braintree Wamps softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Bishops (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against St. Mary's (Lynn, MA). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, St. Mary's nudged Bishop Stang (North Dartmouth, MA), 15-3, in a non-league battle.

The Wamps now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Brookline for a Bay State - Carey battle on Monday, April 29. Braintree will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 20-1 league loss to Newton North (Newtonville, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-6.
