Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Superior Spartans (Superior, WI), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they host Eau Claire Memorial for a Big Rivers challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Chippewa Falls will battle a Old Abes squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Lakeland (Minocqua, WI). The Old Abes record now stands at 2-14.

With the loss, Superior falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Proctor (Proctor, MN) to battle the Rails in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Rails enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. Proctor won 19-1 in their recent league challenge against Marshall (Duluth, MN)
