The Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI) softball routed the visiting Superior Spartans (Superior, WI), 17-10 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals (19-4) will now prepare for their bout against Kimberly (Kimberly, WI). The Papermakers go into the non-league bout with a 10-8 record. In their last bout, Kimberly was routed by Kaukauna (Kaukauna, WI), 11-1, in a league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hibbing for a non-league bout on Monday, May 13. Superior will confront a Bluejackets squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin (Coleraine, MN). The Bluejackets record now stands at 13-2.
