The Belen Eagles crushed the host Highland Hornets baseball team by a count of 22-0 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they host Grants for a 4A District 5 bout on Friday, April 29. Belen will face a Pirates team coming off a 7-3 league win over Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Pirates record now stands at 17-8.
Next, the Hornets face the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 28. Highland will attempt to move on its 0-22 season record. The Monarchs enter the bout with a 6-16 record after their 11-8 league loss to Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM).
