In Thursday's league test, the visiting Freeman Mavericks lacrosse squad scored a tight 9-8 victory over the Deep Run Wildcats.
The Mavericks now have a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host James River Midlothian for a non-league test on Monday, May 1. Freeman will face a Rapids squad coming off a 15-8 league win over Clover Hill (Midlothian, VA). The Rapids record now stands at 3-3.
In their next game, the Wildcats face the Midlothian Trojans (Midlothian, VA) in a non-league test, on Monday, May 1. Deep Run will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 6-1 record after their 9-8 league win over Cosby (Midlothian, VA).
