Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), 26-5 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 8-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Teresa for a 4A District 3 challenge on Monday, April 29. Deming will battle a Desert Warriors squad coming off a 16-4 league win over Chaparral (Chaparral, NM). The Desert Warriors record now stands at 12-11.

With the loss, Chaparral falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Silver (Silver City, NM) to battle the Fighting Colts in a 4A District 3 challenge on Monday, April 29. The Fighting Colts enter the challenge with a record of 18-5. Silver won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Deming (Deming, NM)
