In Saturday's league outing, the host Northeastern Clinton Cougars softball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Peru Nighthawks.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I outing, on Monday, April 29. Northeastern Clinton will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Sentinels enter the outing with a 7-1 record after their 8-0 league win over Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY).
