The Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers routed the visiting Mount de Sales Academy Sailors softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Thursday's league battle.
The Cavaliers (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD). The Eagles go into the IAAM battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, McDonogh topped Harford Tech (Bel Air, MD), 8-7, in a non-league battle.
The Sailors now sport a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Elizabeth Seton for a non-league battle on Monday, May 2. Mount de Sales Academy will meet a squad coming off a 10-2 league win over Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The record now stands at 7-6.
