The Hillcrest Patriots the host Tuscaloosa County Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 10-6 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Patriots (20-11) will now prepare for their battle against Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Jaguars go into the 6A Area 7 battle with a 6-17 record.
The Wildcats now possess a 17-25 record. They play next when they travel to Thompson for a 7A Area 5 battle on Tuesday, May 3. Tuscaloosa County will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 34-7.
