North Carolina High School Softball - Pinecrest gets by Union Pines

April 28, 2022: Southern Pines, NC 28387

The Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) softball nipped the visiting Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 7-6 in Thursday's league bout.

The Patriots (7-11) will now prepare for their bout against Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Bucks go into the Sandhills 3A/4A bout with a 13-10 record. In their last bout, Hoke County held off Southern Lee (Sanford, NC), 4-1, in a league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 11-8 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Lee for a Sandhills 3A/4A bout on Friday, April 29. Union Pines will confront a Cavaliers squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-9.
