North Carolina High School Softball - Mallard Creek topped by North Mecklenburg

North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), 29-21 in a league game.

With the triumph, North Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 10-6 on the year. The Vikings travel to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to play the Titans in a Queen City 3A/4A game on Tuesday, April 29. The Titans enter the game with a record of 11-5. Hopewell won 18-1 in their recent league game against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

The Mavericks now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host West Charlotte for a Queen City 3A/4A game on Tuesday, April 29. Mallard Creek will play a Lions squad coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Lions record now stands at 6-8.
