Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) and the host Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY), witnessed Lewis County's softball squad tip Bourbon County by a count of 9-2.

The Lions now sport a 21-1 record. They play next when they travel to Simon Kenton for a non-league match on Monday, May 2. Lewis County will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Collins (Shelbyville, KY). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, Bourbon County moves to 5-9 on the season. The Colonels travel to Paris (Paris, KY) to face the Greyhounds in a District 40 match on Tuesday, May 3. The Greyhounds go into the match with a record of 3-15.
