With the triumph, Laurel moves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Spartans travel to New Brighton (New Brighton, PA) to clash with the Lions in a WPIAL 2A 1 game on Monday, April 29. The Lions come into the game with a record of 0-5. New Brighton lost 9-3 in their recent league game against Freedom Area (Freedom, PA)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Freedom Area Bulldogs (Freedom, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 1 game, on Thursday, May 2. Shenango will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 6-8 record after their 16-1 league win over Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA).
