The Tri-City Tornadoes (Buffalo, IL) softball nipped the visiting Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL), 2-1 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Tornadoes (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL). The Cardinals go into the non-league bout with a 17-10 record. In their last bout, Pleasant Plains held off Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL), 4-2, in a non-league bout.

The Lancers now possess a 10-13 record. They play next when they travel to Nokomis for a MSM bout on Tuesday, April 30. Lincolnwood will confront a Redskins squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 7-11.
