Tri-City Tornadoes (Buffalo, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Tornadoes now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Warrensburg-Latham for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 15. Tri-City will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Nokomis (Nokomis, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 20-11.

With the loss, Lincolnwood moves to 11-18 on the season. The Lancers host Pawnee (Pawnee, IL) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 14. The Indians go into the match with a record of 12-5. Pawnee won 12-2 in their recent non-league match against Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL)
