South Jefferson Spartans (Adams, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Watertown Cyclones (Watertown, NY), 19-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host General Brown for a Section 3 Frontier B match on Wednesday, May 1. South Jefferson will meet a Lions squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Adirondack (Boonville, NY). The Lions record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Watertown moves to 3-6 on the season. The Cyclones travel to Indian River (Philadelphia, NY) to meet the Warriors in a Section 3 Frontier A match on Wednesday, May 1. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 0-4. Indian River lost 15-0 in their recent non-league match against South Jefferson (Adams, NY)
