North Carolina High School Baseball - Ashley edges South Brunswick

In Tuesday's league game, the host Ashley Screaming Eagle baseball team scored a close 4-2 win over the South Brunswick Cougars.

The Screaming Eagle (19-4) will now prepare for their game against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions go into the Mideastern 3A/4A game with a 7-15 record. In their last game, North Brunswick by Laney (Wilmington, NC), 6-0, in a league game.

Next, the Cougars play the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A game, on Thursday, May 1. South Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Trojans go into the game with a 8-13 record after their 7-5 league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC).
