Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 8-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Polk County advances its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A test on Thursday, May 1. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 6-12. East Rutherford won 1-0 in their recent league test against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)

The Trojans now have a 0-16 record. They take the field next when they host Patton for a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A test on Thursday, May 1. Chase will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 11-7.
