In Tuesday's league match, the host Abingdon Falcons softball team scored a nice 16-5 win over the Union Bears.

The Falcons (16-2) will now prepare for their match against John Battle (Bristol, VA). The Trojans come into the Mountain 7 match with a 9-7 record. In their last match, John Battle notched a victory over Gate City (Gate City, VA), 3-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bears confront the Ridgeview Wolfpack (Clintwood, VA) in a Mountain 7 match, on Thursday, May 1. Union will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Wolfpack come into the match with a 4-6 record after their 2-1 league loss to Union (Big Stone Gap, VA).
