The Lowell Red Devils softball team scored 5 runs and held the host Kankakee Valley Kougars to 4 in the Red Devils league win on Tuesday.

The Red Devils now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland for a Northwest Crossroads battle on Thursday, May 1. Lowell will confront a Trojans team coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Hammond Central (Hammond, IN). The Trojans record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Kankakee Valley moves to 6-5 on the season. The Kougars host Hobart (Hobart, IN) to confront the Brickies in a Northwest Crossroads battle on Wednesday, April 30. The Brickies come into the battle with a record of 5-5. Hobart won 21-3 in their recent non-league battle against Merrillville (Merrillville, IN)
