In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Perquimans Pirates softball team scored a nice 13-3 win over the Martin County Gators.

The Pirates (19-2) will now prepare for their match against North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC). The Husky come into the Four Rivers 1A match with a 11-9 record. In their last match, North East Carolina Prep notched a victory over Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC), 7-0, in a non-league match.
