The Navajo Prep Eagles triumphed over the visiting Thoreau Hawks softball squad by a count of 18-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Eagles play the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) in a 3A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Navajo Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 16-5 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 20-9 league loss to Newcomb (Newcomb, NM).
The Hawks (8-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM). The Eagles enter the 3A District 1 challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Navajo Prep overcame Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM), 13-11, in a league challenge.
