Virginia High School Softball - Stuarts Draft can't get by Riverheads

April 29, 2025: Staunton, VA 24401

The Riverheads Gladiators edged the visiting Stuarts Draft Cougars softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Gladiators play the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Friday, May 2. Riverheads will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Green Hornets enter the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 7-0 league win over Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA).

The Cougars (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Staunton (Staunton, VA). The Storm enter the Shenandoah challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, Staunton was nudged by Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 16-0, in a league challenge.
