Holcomb Hornets (Holcomb, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Clarkton Reindeer (Clarkton, MO), 23-1 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Caruthersville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. Holcomb will face a Tigers squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Scott County Central (Sikeston, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Clarkton falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Reindeer host Risco (Risco, MO) to face the Tigers in a District 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. Risco won 24-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Delta (Deering, MO)
