The Northampton Yellowjackets softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Surry County Cougars to 7 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Northampton moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Franklin (Franklin, VA) to play the Broncos in a non-league game on Monday, April 17. The Broncos come into the game with a record of 0-6.

In their next game, the Cougars play the Sussex Central Tigers (Sussex, VA) in a Tri-Rivers game, on Tuesday, April 4. Surry County will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record.
