South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 13-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Douglas Byrd for a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. South View will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 18-0 league loss to Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-12.

With the loss, Pine Forest falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Trojans host Triton (Erwin, NC) to battle the Hawks in a All American 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 11-4. Triton won 24-0 in their recent league challenge against Westover (Fayetteville, NC)
