Santiago Cavaliers (Garden Grove, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting La Quinta Aztecs (Westminster, CA), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Cavaliers now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Loara for a Garden Grove challenge on Friday, April 5. Santiago will face a Saxons squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Los Amigos (Fountain Valley, CA). The Saxons record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, La Quinta falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Rancho Alamitos (Garden Grove, CA) to face the Vaqueros in a Garden Grove challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Vaqueros enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Rancho Alamitos won 19-6 in their recent league challenge against Bolsa Grande (Garden Grove, CA)
