Georgia High School Baseball - Commerce defeats Athens Academy

In Thursday's league game, the visiting Commerce Tigers baseball team scored a close 7-2 win over the Athens Academy Spartans.
The Tigers (4-19) will now prepare for their game against Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA). The go into the A D1 Region 8 game with a 7-16 record. In their last game, Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy was overwhelmed by Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA), 12-0, in a league game.
Next, the Spartans play the Rabun County Wildcats (Tiger, GA) in a A D1 Region 8 game, on Tuesday, April 8. Athens Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 14-9 record after their 5-4 league win over Elbert County (Elberton, GA).
