Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC), 9-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Providence Grove moves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A test on Monday, April 7. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 4-10. Southwestern Randolph lost 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC)
The Wildcats now sport a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Randleman for a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A test on Monday, April 7. Eastern Randolph will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 4-1 league loss to Trinity (Trinity, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 3-7.
