The Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) softball routed the visiting Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 17-2 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Jaguars (5-16) will now prepare for their bout against Belen (Belen, NM). The Eagles go into the 4A District 5 bout with a 16-9 record. In their last bout, Belen toppled Grants (Grants, NM), 20-0, in a league bout.

The Hornets now possess a 2-22 record. They play next when they travel to St. Pius X for a 4A District 5 bout on Friday, May 3. Highland will confront a Sartans squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 16-5.
