Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA), 9-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Nelson County moves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Governors host Dan River (Ringgold, VA) to clash with the Wildcats in a Dogwood test on Friday, May 2. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 1-4.

The Colonels now sport a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Appomattox County for a Dogwood test on Friday, May 2. Altavista will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 5-0 league win over Galileo (Danville, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 2-4.
