In Monday's league outing, the host Nelson County Governors soccer squad scored a nice 11-0 victory over the Altavista Colonels.

The Governors (9-3) will now prepare for their outing against Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Wildcats go into the Dogwood outing with a 1-9 record. In their last outing, Dan River was overwhelmed by Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 6-2, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Colonels confront the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) in a Dogwood outing, on Wednesday, May 21. Altavista will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Raiders go into the outing with a 4-7 record after their 5-2 league win over Galileo (Danville, VA).
