The Dragons (13-2) will now prepare for their outing against Madison (Marshall, NC). The Patriots enter the Western Highlands 1A/2A outing with a 10-4 record.

Next up, the Mountaineers confront the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A outing, on Monday, May 5. Mitchell will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Vikings enter the outing with a 7-8 record after their 2-0 league loss to Owen (Black Mountain, NC).
