Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA), 5-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Nelson County moves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Governors host Dan River (Ringgold, VA) to clash with the Wildcats in a Dogwood test on Friday, May 2. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 1-5. Dan River lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Chatham (Chatham, VA)

The Colonels now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Appomattox County for a Dogwood test on Friday, May 2. Altavista will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 6-1 league win over Galileo (Danville, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-3.
