The Nelson County Governors smashed the visiting Altavista Colonels soccer team by a tally of 6-1 in Monday's league game.
Next, the Governors clash with the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) in a Dogwood game, on Wednesday, May 21. Nelson County will attempt to advance on its 12-0 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 4-7 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Patrick County (Stuart, VA).
The Colonels (2-10) will now prepare for their game against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Raiders come into the Dogwood game with a 8-4 record. In their last game, Appomattox County edged Galileo (Danville, VA), 6-0, in a league game.
