The Western Branch Bruins baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the host King's Fork Bulldogs to 1 in the Bruins league victory on Tuesday.
The Bruins (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA). The Warriors go into the Southeastern match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Nansemond River ran past Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA), 5-2, in a league match.
The Bulldogs (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA). The Titans go into the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Lake Taylor was overwhelmed by Manor (Portsmouth, VA), 28-0, in a league match.
