McKinney North Bulldogs (McKinney, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they host Princeton for a 5A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. McKinney North will face a Panthers squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Denison (Denison, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 14-12.

With the loss, Sherman falls to 16-12 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Lovejoy (Lucas, TX) to face the Leopards in a 5A Region II District 13 challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Leopards enter the challenge with a record of 18-10. Lovejoy won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Greenville (Greenville, TX)
