The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA) and the visiting Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA), saw West Ouachita's softball squad nip Pineville by a count of 7-6.

The Chiefs now sport a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alexandria for a 5A District 2 match on Thursday, April 6. West Ouachita will face a Trojans squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to West Monroe (West Monroe, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 20-8.

With the loss, Pineville falls to 15-7 on the campaign. The Rebels host Sterlington (Sterlington, LA) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 5. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 25-5. Sterlington won 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Neville (Monroe, LA)
