The Southwest Guilford Cowboys softball team scored 26 runs and limited the host Western Guilford Hornets to 0 in the Cowboys league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Southwest Guilford moves its record to 8-5 on the year. The Cowboys host Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 5. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 6-5. Eastern Guilford won 18-2 in their recent league game against High Point Central (High Point, NC)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A game, on Thursday, April 6. Western Guilford will attempt to move on its 2-12 season record. The Whirlies come into the game with a 4-9 record after their 11-2 non-league loss to Bethany (Summerfield, NC).
