New Mexico High School Baseball - Grants held off by St. Pius X

St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), 3-1 in a league match.
With the triumph, St. Pius X advances its record to 9-10 on the season. The Sartans travel to Valencia (Los Lunas, NM) to battle the Jaguars in a 4A District 5 match on Tuesday, April 8. The Jaguars come into the match with a record of 8-10. Valencia lost 11-0 in their recent non-league match against Deming (Deming, NM)
The Pirates now have a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gallup for a non-league match on Saturday, April 5. Grants will battle a Bengals squad coming off a 12-11 league loss to Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM). The Bengals record now stands at 3-11.
