In Friday's non-league test, the Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV) softball squad got by the visiting Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), by a tally of 8-7.
Next, the Cougars meet the Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 5. Capital will attempt to advance on its 2-7 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 5-3 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV).
The Vikings (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Hoover (Clendenin, WV). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, Hoover held off South Charleston (South Charleston, WV), 8-0, in a non-league test.
