The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) and the visiting Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX), observed Smithson Valley's softball team notch a victory over Pieper by a final score of 9-0.

The Rangers (14-1) will now prepare for their bout against New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The Unicorns go into the 5A Region IV District 26 bout with a 18-6 record. In their last bout, New Braunfels was routed by Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX), 6-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, April 8. Pieper will attempt to better on its 7-11 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 9-0 league loss to Boerne (Boerne, TX).
